Tiffany Biljum, MA, MLIS, LMHC

I'm passionate about connection and healing. I love being deeply present with my clients, discovering parts that need care and healing, and helping to uncover the innate wisdom and restorative abilities we all possess. As a lifelong student of the human condition, I'm in awe of the human mind and body. One of my favorite parts of this work is continually learning and sharing that knowledge with my clients. I'm also a huge fan of laughter; the therapeutic benefits of laughing are profound and I weave humor into my work whenever possible.

I specialize in anxiety, depression, trauma, mood disorders, nervous system regulation, parenting, grief and loss, and holistic mental health. I especially love working with parents, LGBTQ+ individuals, fellow therapists and medical professionals, highly sensitive people (HSPs), artists, and domestic abuse survivors, as well as those experiencing life transitions, identity exploration and development, and spiritual and existential concerns.

I'm a licensed mental health counselor in Washington State (LMHC license number LH61440753), with a Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Antioch University. I'm trained in Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy, sensorimotor psychotherapy, polyvagal theory, interpersonal neurobiology, holistic mental health, and Buddhist psychology.
I also have a Master's in Library and Information Science (MLIS) from St. Catherine University, and a Bachelor's in English from the University of Minnesota.

Although I've always felt called to be a therapist, I traveled a winding path before trusting that I had the life experience to do this work. I was a librarian and translator, and I've been involved with Crisis Connections, grief support groups, hospice, newborn parenting groups, preschools and elementary schools, and animal sanctuaries. I'm also a longtime Zen meditation practitioner, artist, and most importantly, a mom of twin daughters. The common threads in all these experiences inform my approach to therapy: connection, awareness, learning, and the natural world.

I believe that we all have the capacity to uncover our authentic selves and that each of us deserves to heal. This process is truly for everyone. I'd be honored to journey alongside you.
